Overview:

CyberPro is seeking a Grant Support Specialist to support the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). ASPR is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters.

Location: This full-time position and will be performed in the designated greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area and virtually as identified.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs financial and administrative analyses of assigned grant mechanisms, to determine if costs are reasonable, allowable and allocable
  • Maintains the official grant files.
  • Provide auditing services for grants
  • Monitors close out process, as indicated by the Grants Management Officer (GMO), including assisting in the assessment of technical progress and performance, participate in program office meetings with grantees as needed
  • Performs financial and administrative analyses of assigned grant mechanisms, to determine if costs are reasonable, allowable and allocable
    • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable OMB Circulars, HHS policies and regulations
    • Review and perform cost analysis of grant applications
    • Process new awards and amendments for GMO/GMS review and approval
    • Maintains the official grant files
    • Participates in close out process, as directed by the Grants Management Officer (GMO), including ensuring PO certification is documented
    • Reconciliation of charges and cash disbursements of Division of Payment Management subaccounts
    • Prepares award notices and performs relevant tasks for review and approval by GMO
    • Prepares correspondence which addresses administrative and/or management issues.
    • Reviews budget information with program staff and the grant community.
    • Responds to inquiries from program staff, principal investigators, and administrators at grantee institutions.
    • Provide assistance to A-133 auditor and GMO to resolve and address audit findings
    • Maintain and update A-133 Worksheet using OIG Distribution packages as required
    • Conduct financial desk review to determine grantee’s capability and allowable cost

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Management/Business) 8 years of experience

Required Clearance:

  • Public Trust Clearance (US Citizenship)

Required Experience:

  • 8 years of experience
